Worthy Grand Patron
Brother Fred Lipskey
Brother Fred was born in London, Ontario and while in high school joined the
Royal Canadian Navy Reserve, then in 1958 transferred from the Reserve to
the Regular Force. On completion of training was at sea for seven years and
completed 12 years taking leave of the service in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.
After several years in both print and electronic media advertising, he
joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police serving in Prince Albert and Regina
Saskatchewan. While a member of the force he was a councillor of the
Members-Employees Assistance Program and awarded a Commanding Officer’s
Commendation.
His Masonic career started in Northern Star Lodge #216 in Prince Albert
Saskatchewan where he was Master of the Lodge twice. He is currently an
affiliated member of Valley Lodge #90 in Berwick and a member of Cornwallis
Chapter #26 Royal Arch Masons where he has served as Most Excellent High
Priest.
The Eastern Star journey started in Prince Albert Chapter #16, where he was
Chaplain, Marshal and Warder. After transferring to Regina and becoming a
member of Excelsior Chapter #21 he served as Chaplain, Associate Patron and
a brief term as Worthy Patron.
In Evangeline Chapter #15 he served as Warder, Chaplain, Associate Patron
and Worthy Patron twice and was appointed Grand Chaplain in 2006 and has
served on Courtesy and Booklet Committees of Grand Chapter. As a member of
Laurel #67 he has served as Chaplain and was Elected Grand Sentinel in July,
2009.
